About
Part of the legendary Long Island music scene of the early 2000s, novemberkills was initially founded by guitarist Frank Antonetti and drummer Jonathan Bjelland in 2001. They added Dave Newman on vocals, Jon Cerami on guitar, and Matt Martini on bass. Once new bassist Frank Perz joined the fray, the band released their debut full-length “...and tell her i loved her” in 2003, kickstarting their rise in popularity.
They toured relentlessly, playing shows with bands like Paramore, Gym Class Heroes, Bayside, A Day To Remember, The Sleeping and countless others.
They signed with Hotfoot Records and released their sophomore full-length “Russian Roulette” in 2006. It was their first album helmed by new frontman, Dave DeCeglie, lending an all new vocal texture to their already well-established sound. This rounded out the roster that would go on to put them on the map, and frequently garner comparisons to bands like Glassjaw, Deftones, Finch, A Static Lullaby, and more.
"By the end of the album, it will leave you crying in the corner of a dark room in someone else's house. This album kicks some serious ass." - Ontario Punk
"They are as good, if not better than some of the other post-hardcore heavy hitters like A Static Lullaby, Hawthorne Heights or Underoath." - East Coast Romper
"This band keeps a very distinct stamp on everything that they touch, and it carries through this entire album. You can never mistake this for any other band. Own this album." - Wrank Music
